Hill & Hill has grown consistently in a short period of time through word of mouth and repeat business. Our focus is to provide the best service we can and between us, we have over 30 years of recruitment experience all within the construction industry and as such, have built a strong reputation among both clients and candidates.

Rahil Qureshi
Recruitment Director

Rahil Qureshi

Having worked in construction recruitment since the very beginning of my career, I’ve spent the last 13 years partnering with some of the largest developers and main contractors across the UK, Middle East, and USA. I knew early on that I wanted to start my own agency and in 2015 I partnered up with my cousin Sahil to start Hill & Hill. We shared the same vision and set out to create a small business that was focused on building strong relationships. We believe that as a smaller team we can communicate better, work more efficiently and ultimately provide a better service. I am well networked, and I’ve placed individuals from junior level up to board. Feel free to contact me to discuss any roles or requirements.

Sahil Shakir

I had a successful career in Retail Operations having spent 11 years working for Burberry. Although I loved my job and the people I worked with, I always had a desire to start a company from scratch, build strong foundations and help it grow. The opportunity came knocking when Rahil, my cousin, decided to start a recruitment agency. Rahil recruits while I look after the operations side of the business and luckily, our skills complement one another. We started the business in 2015 and haven’t looked back since. I have worked in construction recruitment since I graduated and like most it was a role I fell into, that said, once I secured my first role in recruitment I realised very quickly I had found my calling in life. Helping other people, both clients and candidates, whilst making good money. At that time, I worked with main contractors, focused in London and the South East. Due to market demands and a gap in the market, 11 years ago I decided to focus within subcontracting fit out as I found working with SME companies more personal. This has evolved over the years to encompass both facades and fit out within a subcontracting environment. As I come into my 16th year in construction recruitment, I can honestly say I absolutely love my job. I work in a very open and honest way, sometimes to my detriment however I have to stay true to my moral standards. I consider myself very well networked within my market, I have worked with my key clients for many years, which has given me great insight into the subcontracting market. I joined Hill & Hill in 2025 to look after property services, specialising in the social housing and public sector. Prior to joining the business, I spent over six years working within the property services recruitment sector, supporting housing associations and local authorities in the delivery of technical and operational roles. I bring a strong understanding of the property services landscape and a practical, relationship-driven approach to delivering high-quality outcomes. I'm a recruitment consultant with two years of experience specialising in the construction industry. I’m passionate about connecting skilled professionals with the right opportunities and helping companies build strong, reliable teams. In the last 2 years I’ve developed a good understanding of the construction sector and its unique challenges. I enjoy working closely with both clients and candidates, offering personalised advice and support to ensure a perfect match. What I love most about my job is seeing the positive impact of my placements, whether it’s helping a company meet project deadlines with the right talent or supporting candidates in advancing their careers. Recognising the industry’s need for skilled professionals, I saw an opportunity to leverage my skills in connecting talented individuals with rewarding opportunities.
