I’m working with a leading main contractor who is looking to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team on a project based in Macclesfield.
This Health & Safety Advisor role will be site-based, supporting project teams and helping drive a strong health & safety culture across live works. The successful Health & Safety Advisor will work closely with site management and report into the HSE Manager.
This is a hands-on Health & Safety Advisor role, suited to someone who is comfortable being out on site, engaging with teams and adding value to projects.
Duties:
- Work as a Health & Safety Advisor supporting site teams on live projects
- Carry out site inspections and audits
- Assist with incident investigations when required
- Provide practical health & safety advice to project teams
- Attend site meetings and support project start-ups
- Deliver toolbox talks and basic training where required
- Support the HSE Manager with reporting and compliance
Requirements:
- Experience working as a Health & Safety Advisor within construction
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
- Tech IOSH (or working towards)
- Strong site presence and communication skills
- Ability to engage with site teams and influence behaviour
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
